In Monday’s major Euro Transfer News roundup, Real Madrid are preparing for a potential sale of Brazilian star Vinicius Junior, PSG could part ways with Gianluigi Donnarumma, Inter Milan are closing in on Ademola Lookman, and Milan Skriniar is nearing a permanent move to Fenerbahce.
Real Madrid Open to Selling Vinicius Junior
Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo reports that Real Madrid are considering selling Vinicius Junior. Despite a stellar 2023/24 campaign that saw him finish second in the Ballon d’Or and help Madrid win the UEFA Champions League, the 2024/25 season marked a dip, with only 11 La Liga goals.
Vinicius, 25, is currently earning €15m net annually, but he is now seeking parity with Kylian Mbappe’s €23m net salary. Negotiations for a new deal have stalled, leading to speculation of interest from Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal.
The forward has two years left on his contract and a £1 billion release clause. Since joining Real Madrid in 2018 from Flamengo, he has scored 106 goals in 322 appearances, winning two Champions League and three La Liga titles.
Donnarumma Set to Leave PSG as Chelsea and United Watch
According to Footmercato, PSG are preparing to offload Gianluigi Donnarumma amid stalled contract renewal talks. The club is set to sign Lille’s Lucas Chevalier, which signals a potential exit for the 26-year-old Italian.
“PSG are determined not to relive a Kylian Mbappe-like scenario – who left for Real Madrid on a free transfer – with Gianluigi Donnarumma,” Footmercato stated.
The report added, “For his part, the Castellammare de Stabia native – tracked by Galatasaray, Saudi Arabia, as well as Chelsea and Manchester United – should quickly pack his bags.”
Chelsea are reportedly seeking a goalkeeper and have considered Donnarumma, while Manchester United are also keeping tabs.
Inter in ‘Crucial’ Talks for Ademola Lookman
Inter Milan are targeting Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman from Atalanta. Club president Giuseppe Marotta confirmed: “This week will be crucial for Lookman deal. We are in talks for Ademola Lookman, we want him but we also respect Atalanta. In two to three days we hope to proceed and be able to get the deal done, otherwise we will move on and focus on other players.”
Lookman has excelled at Atalanta with 52 goals and 25 assists in 118 matches. His standout performance came with a hat-trick in the 2023/24 UEFA Europa League final. The former Premier League winger also earned the title of African Footballer of the Year.
Skriniar to Fenerbahce Almost Done
Fenerbahce are on the verge of signing Milan Skriniar permanently from PSG, as per Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg. The Slovakian defender spent the last six months on loan and impressed coach Jose Mourinho.
“Exclusive detail, German sporting director Devin Ozek is now in Paris to negotiate the final details of a permanent move for Milan Skriniar to Fenerbahce,” reported Sky Germany.
“Talks between the clubs are at an advanced stage. The agreement between Fenerbahce and Skriniar until 2029 is 100% complete – it now depends on the agreement between the clubs.”
Skriniar, 30, moved to PSG from Inter but is now set to continue in the Turkish Super Lig if both clubs finalize the deal.
