Liverpool monitoring Robinho Jnr

The Daily Mail reports that Liverpool have sent scouts to track Robinho Jnr, the 17-year-old son of Robinho.

The report states: “Liverpool have had a scout present at a number of the matches of Brazilian giants Santos this year – and Confidential understands they are there to keep an eye on the son of former Real Madrid and Manchester City star Robinho. Robinho Jnr, 17, is on the verge of the first team at the Sao Paulo club whose famous ex-players include Pele, Neymar and Rodrygo, to name just three. Reds scout Dassler Marques has been present at many games this season watching Robinho Jnr despite the fact he is often a substitute. Neymar, who returned to Santos last year, has been spending a lot of time with the teenager on the pitch.”

Reds and Chelsea in battle for South American sensation

Chelsea and Liverpool are monitoring Ecuador’s 15-year-old defender Deinner Ordonez, who plays for Independiente del Valle.

According to the report: “Chelsea have held talks over a move for Ecuador defensive prodigy Deinner Ordonez. Still only 15, Ordonez impressed playing above his age group at the South American U20 Championships earlier this year where he was the youngest player to appear there in over a decade.”

“His performances have already caught the eye of Liverpool scouts and clubs from Spain and Germany.
Already over 6ft tall, Ordonez is right-footed but is utilised as a left-sided centre back where he is fast earning plaudits for excellent use of the ball and his ability to build play from the back. He is also strong in the air though still to develop physically. Independiente are willing to strike a deal to sell the youngster, similar to the transfer structured previously for Paez who agreed to leave at 16 but was only eligible for transfer this summer in turning 18.”

Martial linked with move to Mexico

Former Manchester United striker Anthony Martial could be on the move again after his time at AEK Athens.

The Sun reports: “Martial has fallen down the pecking order following the arrival of new manager Marko Nikolic. So much so that Nikolic left the Frenchman out of AEK’s squad for the Conference League. Reports in Greece suggest the Serbian tactician hasn’t completely given up on the former Premier League star just yet.”

“According to journalist Cesar Luis Merlo, the ex-Monaco star could find a way out of his current predicament by joining Pumas. The Mexican giants are scrambling for a late attacking addition before their summer transfer window slams shut on Friday. Pumas have shortlisted two top candidates, which are Martial and San Jose Earthquakes star Cristian Arango.”
